Wedding Party Jumps for Joy as the photo session in the hot sun comes to a close. Jump shots are the most fun and do cause a lot of laughs. Good one to start with to loosen everyone up. Wedding took place later at sunset at the puopa on the shore.

Take Time to Get Organized and Prepare

I was just getting ready for Remi & Warren's wedding shoot, taking place in Cozumel, Mexico, January 24th by trying all of my equipment and different lighting set ups. I can't believe how much equipment I will need to haul but I love the newest gadgets and lighting set ups I have acquired:

Rotolight is a very bright video light which changes colour by simply changing the filter, very effective for close range HD video for weddings and or interviews.

Metz Mecablitz 76 was something I bought and have not been able to use much though it is quite a strong and effective mini strobe. I didn't have a sync chord for the longest time. I recently purchased a Cactus Trigger which has made my life easy. I also love to use my speed light off camera with my pocket wizards. Now I am all set creatively to light my clients both bridal and boudoir to show them in their best light

The past couple of nights I spent watching You tube videos on other weddings that took place at the Grand Occidental in Cozumel to get a preview of the area I will be capturing with Warren and Remi. A lot of ideas have been coming to mind especially late at night. I am so excited it is going to be so much fun. I am ready to shoot it now!!!

What occupies your time?

Over the holidays my time was well spent with family, friends, my dog max and my lovely appendage, my 5D and my 50D cameras.

While photographing people has got to be my most favourite subject I sure did miss photographing a snowy wintry scene for my annual Christmas card. So I intend on doing that the next couple of weeks for next years card, great to plan ahead.

Back to What occupies your time? Worrying or being present? A combination of both. For me I can honestly admit a little of both. Though I have read and practised Jon Cabot Zinn's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nwwKbM_vJc work (Full Catastrophe Living) and value present moment practises like yoga and meditation, it is a lifelong journey and process for me. My favourite presents were my family visits.

However, here are a few of my favourite moments that have occupied the past week:
